Description
I have... considerable issues with Mary Sues/Gary Stus, ect.
See, after discovering stuff like TVTropes, various Fanfic MSTings and "Protectors of the Plot Continuum", I've become rather... jaded about... certain things, especially after finding out that several fictional characters I liked/tolerated were considered sues/stus.
So yeah, now I can't watch TV without thinking about whether or not the character I like is a frikkin' Mary Sue, and the conflicting opinions of fans about certain characters (*COUGH*Xion*COUGH*) isn't helping either.
As a fanfic writer myself, I may have (unintentionally) written some sue/stu characters, but I was young! Inexperienced!

not to me its just people making the character they like and as long as
its not hurting anyone (physically or emotionally)
breaking community guidelines

its alright and they can make their character how they want its a fictional character in a fictional universe it doesn't have to be balanced
